IDEALEX® designs, manufactures, and distributes radiation protection solutions to reduce radiation and contamination risks for workers and nuclear industry facilities.
Our company is based in Vendôme, just 42 minutes by TGV from Paris, with an additional sales office in Pierrelatte, South of France.
Our history & growth
The company was born of a project initiated in 1995 by Christian DEFAUT, a chemical engineer specialising in nuclear engineering. His idea was to replace the cardboard dustbin with an innovative patented plastic dustbin, called the PODEC®, to reduce exposure to risks and ensure greater safety against ionising radiation. For almost 30 years, we have continued to work towards this goal, with a constant commitment to development and innovation.
Today, we integrate, design, manufacture and market our own product ranges.
Founded by Christian DEFAUT, a nuclear chemical engineer. His pioneering idea: replace cardboard waste bins with an innovative, patented plastic bin (PODEC®) to enhance safety against ionizing radiation.
Partnership with Henri RIPOLL’s external design office to develop our own product range.
Henri & Maryline RIPOLL take over IDEALEX and establish a sales office in Pierrelatte.
Expansion into international markets with a new office in Saarbrücken, Germany.
Achieved ISO 9001 certification.
Relocated to new headquarters in Vendôme.
Awarded Top Talent of the Year at the Loir-et-Cher Business Awards.
