IDEALEX® – Solutions for reducing nuclear waste volumes
For a company like ours, managing nuclear waste is a significant challenge, both for our clients and the nuclear industry as a whole. At IDEALEX®, waste reduction is at the core of our mission. These wastes originate from the nuclear supply chain, power plants, research laboratories, and even medical facilities. Often classified as low-level radioactive waste (TFA), they must be managed safely and responsibly.
Our challenge: reducing nuclear waste
Reducing the volume of nuclear waste is crucial for several reasons. It minimizes the required storage space, optimizing the use of available sites and reducing future storage needs. Moreover, volume reduction lowers the risks associated with waste handling and storage, limiting worker and environmental exposure to radiation. Additionally, it helps reduce overall nuclear waste management costs.
IDEALEX® – Our waste reduction solutions
At IDEALEX®, we play a key role in radiation protection and nuclear waste management. We provide our clients with comprehensive and effective solutions for the entire waste management process, with a strong focus on volume reduction. Our cutting-edge technologies and advanced techniques enable efficient waste volume reduction while maintaining high safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- VIDOFIL Solution: A highly effective system that reduces the volume of hazardous waste bags (disposable protective covers, plastic bags, envelopes, etc.) by approximately 70%, thanks to its vacuum pump equipped with a needle and a dual high-efficiency filtration system.
- Autonomous Compaction Press: Designed to optimize waste bag volumes (PPE and others) when filling 200L PEHD (TIAG®) or 220L steel drums. It operates independently, thanks to its integrated THE filtration system, requiring no ventilation network connection.
IDEALEX® implements innovative solutions that reduce waste volumes while prioritizing operator safety and environmental protection.
Autonomous waste bag compaction press
Our compaction presses are designed to optimize the volume of waste bags (PPE and other materials) for 200L PEHD or 220L steel drums. Thanks to their integrated THE filtration system, they operate autonomously without requiring a ventilation network connection.
Vacuum unit - VIDOFIL
The VIDOFIL vacuum unit enables a 70% reduction in waste bag volume without contamination risks.
